Etapix Global Ltd breaks into the BI market using Web 2.0 collaboration features
Etapix Global Ltd is a start-up specialising in Business Intelligence products for mid market companies ($1million to $1billion annual revenue). We develop Business Intelligence solutions that sit on of top multiple applications such as CRM and ERP products among others.
Etapix Global was founded by Armel Nene at the end of 2008 who then partnered with Andrew Pedrosa (a former work colleague at IDNA-solutions) to create a software house with a combined technical experience of 15 years in computing and Business Intelligence. “We aim to supply solutions which provide a single entity view of all the business stakeholders (customers, suppliers, partners, etc…) activities. It is important for a manager to get accurate data whenever he needs it, with the ability to refine business rules.” Armel added.
In the current market climate with the global recession set to endure for at least a couple of years (on the optimistic of estimates) and with the after effects looking to affect companies well into the next decade, the need for accurate BI to make effective decisions is increasing. Customers need to be able to review and compare all of their data together, from a single reference point which is relevant to their current decisions. BI applications are currently the most effective method of providing these data views and will be the future for all data reliant company decisions.
In order to accomplish their goals, Etapix Global is developing a range of applications to supply their market:
· Business Intelligence is about knowledge management and sharing. Most BI tools today fail to effectively share the knowledge. Users cannot make changes or review dashboard’s figures directly in the application without exporting it first. Etapix Global collaboration tool allows all relevant stakeholders to review dashboards and other metrics directly within the application with the possibility of exporting the results in real-time. All users will share the same dashboard and can participate in virtual review meeting in real-time.
· Etapix Global caters for all type of businesses by providing standalone and service-based (SaaS) solutions. The solutions provide out-of-the box support for all known databases such as Oracle, MS SQL, MySQL, Sybase, IBM DB2, ProgresSQL, and file system (structured and unstructured), email servers and web services.
“By moving away from the common mistakes when developing BI applications of creating a prototype followed by a full production system for each customer, we are able to provide BI solutions at a fraction of the time and price” Andrew added.
In order to reduce development overhead and price Etapix has developed a black box BI application whose core does not change, in order to customize the application for a particular user numerous levels of configuration exist, from the data level up to the display level, allowing for pre-set features to be installed and configured depending on the requirements.
Etapix Global has now started trading looking to expand its own brand of BI solutions across the mid market, by providing its customers with various solution options, depending on the customer need, great value for money and most importantly relevant data to the relevant people allowing the company to make the right decisions for their future.
